Episode 141 - In late June 1993, police were called to a possible stabbing at a residence in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. In one of the bedrooms, Kenneth John Ladubec, 46, lay dead in a massive pool of blood. His killer was Jacob Leroy Andrew Green, 16, the son of Kenneth's live-in girlfriend. Green was tried as a young offender and found guilty of manslaughter. After Jake's release, all seemed relatively okay. Underneath his cool exterior simmered a rage that would surface again in 1999 when, after a breakup, Jake stabbed his ex-girlfriend, Lesli Yaremko and her parents, Sharon and Terry. Episode 135 - In the wee hours of Saturday, October 11, 2008, after an altercation with his cousin and one of two roommates, 21-year-old, Dylan Koshman, left the Edmonton home he shared and out into the night wearing only sneakers, jeans and a t-shirt. Dylan has not been seen since and what was thought to be a missing person case was upgraded to homicide in 2017 by the Edmonton Police Service. Dylan's mother, Melanie Alix, and his sister, Tara Koshman, were kind enough to share with us about Dylan's disappearance and their years long search for him. DOB/Age: 21 at the age of disappearance EPS File #:08-136304 Dylan went missing on October 11, 2008 from the residence at 10404-33 Avenue.The circumstances of his disappearance are very suspicious and he has not been heard or seen since that date. There is a reward of up to $40,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for this homicide. In a tragedy that shook Canada and the rest of the hockey playing world, just before 5:00pm on April 6, 2018, the team bus of the Humboldt Broncos Junior Hockey team smashed into a semi that had just blown through a stop at the intersection of Saskatchewan highways 35 and 335. Of the the 29 people on the bus that day, only 13 survived. The truck driver walked away unharmed, and was later charged with and convicted of 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death and 13 more counts of dangerous driving causing injury.  One player, 21-year-old defenseman Logan Boulet, had signed his donor card only 5 weeks before the crash and his death. His thoughtful gift saved the lives of six organ recipients. Logan’s selfless actions led droves of other Canadians to sign their donor cards, creating what has been called the #LoganBouletEffect. This remains the largest number of donors pledging their organs from a single event; 100,000 in the first three weeks. Episode 108 - On August 6, 2011, Carol Nora King went missing from her home in the tiny village of Herschel, Saskatchewan. That same day she was to make an official statement to Rosetown, SK., about ongoing harassment and stalking she had been suffering at the hands of her former boyfriend, Joseph 'David" Caissie. Episode 102 - On the morning of August 15, 1967, in what was one of the most heinous random crimes ever to have happened in Canada, 9 members of the Peterson family of Shell Lake Saskatchewan were found gunned down in their modest farmhouse. Jim and Evelyn Peterson and 7 of their 9 children lay dead with no rhyme or reason for the crime. A madman was on the loose on the prairies. Episode 045: On April 12, 2016 after skipping school, which was allegedly uncharacteristic, 16-year-old Mekayla Bali disappeared from Yorkton, Saskatchewan. She has not been seen, definitively, since. "Mekayla is described as a Caucasian female, approximately 5'2" tall and weighs approximately 114 lbs, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is known to change her appearance: she has red-ish hair which can be dyed blonde or other colours and she wears her hair down, pulled back, straight or wavy. She sometimes wears dark rimmed (teal) glasses and a teal/mint coloured infinity scarf. When Mekayla was reported missing she was 16-years-old; she has since turned 17-years-old.
